EXCHAiNGE celebrated an extremely successful premiere in 2013. The debut event made it clear that many supply chain professionals had been waiting for something just like this:
A meeting place where the focus is on quality, not quantity – an intimate venue offering ideal conditions for exchanging ideas and sharing perspectives. With topics that challenge us and help us grow. With leading representatives from the business world and academia. What about you?
The debut of the new international business conference “EXCHAiNGE – the Supply Chainers’ Convention” drew over 200 attendees to Frankfurt am Main on June 18 and 19. SCM managers and purchasers met in the Hilton Frankfurt Airport and the adjacent HOLM Forum with more than two dozen speakers to discuss topics such as the tailored supply chain, financial supply chain, service supply chain, tax-optimized supply chain, supply chain risk management, and supply chain innovation management.
EXCHAiNGE offered a wealth of new ideas – such as the exciting keynotes by Professor David Simchi-Levi (Massachusetts Institute of Technology) on supply chain risk management and Professor Christopher Tang (University of California, Los Angeles) on ethical issues in the supply chain.
Another highlight of EXCHAiNGE was the presentation of the Supply Chain Management Award 2013 to ADVA Optical Networking for its exemplary end-to-end supply chain solution. Finalists Bayer HealthCare, Intel, and Symrise were also honored.
