Supply Chain Simulation

How collaboration and interdepartmental cooperation breed success

In the Supply Chain Simulation, the participants had one-hour to turn around “The Fresh Connection,” a fruit juice company that was being squeezed by economic turbulence. A new team of purchasing, production, sales, and supply chain managers was tasked with identifying and fixing vulnerabilities in the value chain. The aim was to lead the fruit juice company back to a positive ROI (Return-on-Investment). The simulation featured a voting session with all participants, live decision-making, and immediate implementation. Andrea Walbert, Managing Partner and Stefan Hoogervorst, Director of Education and Research, both from PMI Production Management Institute GmbH led the interactive business simulation.

» We have summarized the highlights of this session in a picture gallery for you. We also interviewed Andrea Walbert, an expert in the field, about trends and challenges in supply chain management.
