Session 4: SCM-Planspiel – Supply Chain Finance

Serban Stoica is an experienced professional in the area of pure trade and supply chain finance, having a multicultural training and international background in the UK, Egypt, Malta, Belgium and Romania.

Throughout his career he has been concentrated on trade finance, supply chain finance and asset based lending, building a strong focus on developing and implementing innovative working capital and supply chain finance solutions for companies located in Europe, the Middle East and the U.S.

At the moment he is the Chief Operating Officer of RomFactor, a cross-border trade finance institution based in Romania, partnered since 2009 with FIMBank plc, one of the leading specialized trade finance banks in the world. He has joined the company in 2008 and was from the start actively involved in the expansion of the international trade finance and supply chain finance activities.

In his early professional years, he has established and developed a start-up that provides financial advice to the mass markets, acted as a financial consultant for the largest holding company in the Balkans involved in domains ranging from FMCG to Oil extraction, interned for the leading factoring company in Cairo and trained with FIMBank plc in Malta.

Serban is currently working on his PhD in Supply Chain Finance, holding an Honors MSc. Finance diploma and graduating top of the class at the first International Factors Group Academy in Brussels.
